Chalet Le Tadorne is an ideal location for a winter holiday and is perfect for families. The four bedroom accommodation is ideal for two or three families.

Situated in the alpine village of Châtel in the Abondance Valley which is part of the vast Portes du Soleil which offers some of the finest skiing in Europe and is one of the largest ski areas in the world with over 650km of pistes linking resorts in France and Switzerland, interspersed with 'watering holes' and restaurants. An average skier can ski from the Pré-la-Joux area in Châtel to Avoriaz in under an hour!

Unspoilt alpine architecture and its sunny position make Châtel what it is. There are a wide variety of shops selling local produce, many bars and two intimate cinemas. There is an ice skating rink on the edge of the village just beside Lac de Vonnes and a luge run open all year round at Pré-la-Joux. The region is well known for its cuisine and the local restaurants cater for all depths of taste and pocket.

Châtel's ski schools and private instructors offer both private and group classes for every level of skier and snowboarder.

Both skiing and snowboarding are catered for with pistes and snow parks and cross country skiing is popular with a good choice of trails. Whatever your forte - you are well provided for.
